This is an amazing find, an all original, fully sealed 50 count box. All the seals are fully intact and firmly in place, no fading, discoloration or water stains, no mildew or odors commonly found with some older boxes due to improper storage. So Called Sealed Sets are likely to have been searched. The key here is the word sealed, the US Mint did not seal the individual Proof Set envelopes. At the time the envelope was the way people stored the proof sets, they werent sealed so people could view the set with ruining the envelope. Think about it this way, a few years later when they switched to the cardboard sleeves, did they seal them? About 1962 Proof Sets. The maximum order for 1962 Proof Sets was limited to 100 sets. Each set contained five coins: One example each of the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, and Benjamin Franklin Half Dollar. About the sets: 1962 Proof Coins are found with Brilliant, Cameo and Deep Cameo surfaces. Deep Cameo Proofs are the most desirable Proofs.
