The coins were produced by the New Zealand mint in 2011. They made 2 different 4 coin sets. This listing is for the Millennium Falcon set and the other set – Darth Vader set is up for sale in a separate listing. They have a low mintage as well. Only 7500 sets of each were produced. While there may be other Star Wars coins produced over the years to commemorate the movie the New Zealand Mint coins are special and for a very good reason. THESE ARE THE VERY FIRST STAR WARS COINS EVER PRODUCED THAT ARE. While I doubt you will ever get any in change at the store they are legal tender and can be used as such. These are the very first Star Wars collectible that are spendable. They are all beautiful coins with no marks of any kind. The set will make a great addition to your collection.
