The coins are from the United States and have not been modified in any way. The set also includes a bulbous serif S.

A very nice set of United States silver half dollar coins beautifully displayed in a new Capital holder. In this set there are 6 Proof coins and one Prooflike coin. All the coins in this set are uncirculated examples of half dollar coins mostly from a bygone era. The coins were chosen for their rarity, history, and beauty! The first half doiiar is a capped bust variety minted in 1824 with a mintage of nearly 3.5 million, this coin is a prooflike variety. Next is an 1873 PROOF seated Liberty half dollar with a mintage of only 600! The 3rd coin in this set is a 1901 Barber PROOF half dollar, named for the designer, with a mintage of only 813. Next, come the Proof Walking Liberty Half Dollar, dated 1941, with only 15,412minted, another truly rare issue. The next coin is a 1961 Proof Benjamin Franklin Half Dollar, while not a rare issue, was chosen for the beauty of its Cameo effect. The next coin is the 1964 Kennedy in proof with the scarce accented hair variety. The last coin in this set is the 1976-S bi-centennial silver proof half dollar, also chosen for its cameo effect. I put these sets together as if I would keep them for myself, but they always sell anyway!

DCAM could be Ultra Cameos.. “The Type 1 mintmark on 1981 coins is actually the Type 2 “Clear” S mintmark that debuted in late 1979, replacing the 1979 Type 1 “Filled S mintmark. The most notable difference between the 1981 Type 1 mintmark and 1981 Type 2 mintmark is best perceived in the serifs of the S mintmark, which on the 1981 Type 2 iteration of the S appear bulbous. The presence of the serifs is indeed the best, and certainly most outward, diagnostic of this scarcer mintmark variety.
