Simply put, fully struck proof gems. Along with the silver half and silver dime, the set includes one cent, one nickel and five golden dollar coins. 2012 was a bit of sleeper year as sales of silver proof sets dipped under 400,000 units. They bounced around that number for a few years until moving back over 500,000 in 2018. Regardless, it is time to clean out my backlog of stuff.
